About the Role
On behalf of our client, InVictus Group is urgently seeking an experienced, proactive Facilities Manager for an immediate start in Birmingham. This is a 6-month temporary contract structure with a clear view to transition into a permanent position, entirely dependent on your performance during the initial term. You will take operational ownership of a prominent commercial/corporate site, managing total facilities management (TFM) delivery, building compliance, and subcontractor performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of both hard and soft facilities services across the site.
- Manage, monitor, and audit third-party contractors and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure strict building compliance, executing health and safety regulations (IOSH/NEBOSH standards), and keeping risk assessments updated.
- Act as the primary point of contact for tenants and client stakeholders, managing budgets and tracking operational expenditure.
- Oversee minor capital works and reactive maintenance projects efficiently.
The Ideal Candidate
- Availability: Must be available for an immediate start or on a very short notice period.
- Experience: Proven track record as a Facilities Manager, ideally managing corporate offices or complex commercial environments.
- Qualifications: IWFM membership and a relevant Health & Safety qualification (IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate) are highly desirable.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of building fabric, M&E systems, and statutory compliance.
- Drive: A self-starter attitude with the ambition to secure the permanent post through excellent delivery.
