Permanent The Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join a leading Facilities Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a commercial site, ensuring all electrical systems and equipment are maintained safely, efficiently and in line with relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance. Diagnose and repair electrical faults across a range of building services systems. Complete electrical installation, repairs, replacements and minor works. Carry out testing and inspection of electrical systems where qualified to do so. Maintain lighting, emergency lighting, power distribution and associated electrical equipment. Respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requests within agreed timescales. Complete electrical isolation and safe working procedures. Assist with general building services and basic mechanical/fabric maintenance where required. Complete maintenance records, job sheets and compliance documentation. Work closely with the wider engineering and facilities management team. Liaise with clients, contractors and site management when required. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current health and safety requirements. Support the delivery of a high-quality maintenance service across the site. Requirements City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent. AM2 and JIB Gold card Previous experience working within Facilities Management, Building Services or a commercial environment. Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance and fault finding. Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance. Good understanding of health and safety and electrical compliance. Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team. Full UK driving licence desirable depending on the site.
