Were hiring for a skilled Electrical Building Services Shift Engineer to join the engineering team responsible for maintaining a high-end, multi-tenant skyscraper just a short walk from Liverpool Street Station. This is a career-defining opportunity for an engineer with strong electrical knowledge and a background in commercial environments.

The Role:

Working a continental shift pattern (days and nights), youll be part of a 24/7 team that ensures critical building systems remain fully operational at all times. Youll deliver both planned and reactive maintenance while supporting wider site operations and small projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance

Work on systems including:

Lighting, emergency lighting, LV distribution, small power, and control panels

Respond to electrical faults quickly and efficiently

Support project and minor installation works

Accurately log work via the sites CAFM system

Uphold all health & safety and compliance standards

Communicate effectively with tenants, contractors, and the facilities management team

What Youll Need:

  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition is desirable but not essential
  • Strong experience in commercial building services (ideally within high-rise, corporate, or critical environments)
  • HV Authorisation or HV experience (advantageous reflected in higher salary bracket)
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Professional, reliable, and team-oriented
