An industry leading M&E service provider is seeking a Plumbing Maintenance Engineer to work at a large commercial site based near Birmingham. Offering a salary of £38,000 per annum with fantastic opportunities to develop and progress within the industry. This is an immediately available role in a dynamic and prestigious building working as part of a close-knit team.
Job Role: You will be required to work Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with overtime opportunities available. Required to be very technically strong with great fault finding abilities and a desire to work in a demanding yet rewarding environment. This is a company renowned in the industry for investing in their people and providing the latest training as well as offering fantastic internal career progression.
Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all plumbing equipment and plant in accordance with site task schedules and asset lists. Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the building are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made. These reactive calls also include mechanical and plumbing tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out PPM tasks on plumbing systems in a commercial environment
- Maintaining hot & cold water systems, pumps, valves, sanitary ware, and pipework
- Completing minor reactive repairs when required
- Accurately completing PPM logs and compliance paperwork
- Ensuring all works are completed to health & safety and site standards
- Working closely with other maintenance engineers and site management
Requirements:
- Proven experience in commercial plumbing maintenance
- Knowledge of PPM schedules and compliance checks
- Relevant plumbing qualifications (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Good understanding of H&S and legionella awareness (preferred)
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
