You will act as a central point of expertise, guiding, supporting, and auditing property and residential management teams to minimise risk and ensure compliance across the portfolio. The role has a strong emphasis on Higher-Risk Buildings (HRB) and engagement with Building Safety Act requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage annual health & safety and fire risk assessment programmes
  • Support residential teams with Building Safety Act compliance, HRB documentation, and regulator submissions
  • Review and track actions arising from audits, risk assessments, and compliance systems
  • Ensure statutory inspections, testing, and examinations are completed on time
  • Provide guidance on health & safety legislation, codes of practice, and regulatory changes
  • Assist with the preparation and review of risk assessments and method statements
  • Support accident investigations and ensure appropriate reporting and follow-up actions
  • Deliver health & safety training support and inductions as required
  • Carry out in-house audits across managed properties
  • Support event set-up safety and compliance where applicable

About You

Essential:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety (NEBOSH Diploma preferred)
  • Proven experience in residential property management, including HRB environments
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety, fire safety, and Building Safety Act legislation
  • Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and accident investigations
  • Confident working with multiple stakeholders in a client-side environment
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

Desirable:

  • Experience with asbestos management, fire engineering, or event safety
  • IOSH membership
  • Knowledge of Building Regulations and CDM Regulations
