You will act as a central point of expertise, guiding, supporting, and auditing property and residential management teams to minimise risk and ensure compliance across the portfolio. The role has a strong emphasis on Higher-Risk Buildings (HRB) and engagement with Building Safety Act requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage annual health & safety and fire risk assessment programmes
- Support residential teams with Building Safety Act compliance, HRB documentation, and regulator submissions
- Review and track actions arising from audits, risk assessments, and compliance systems
- Ensure statutory inspections, testing, and examinations are completed on time
- Provide guidance on health & safety legislation, codes of practice, and regulatory changes
- Assist with the preparation and review of risk assessments and method statements
- Support accident investigations and ensure appropriate reporting and follow-up actions
- Deliver health & safety training support and inductions as required
- Carry out in-house audits across managed properties
- Support event set-up safety and compliance where applicable
About You
Essential:
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety (NEBOSH Diploma preferred)
- Proven experience in residential property management, including HRB environments
- Strong knowledge of health & safety, fire safety, and Building Safety Act legislation
- Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and accident investigations
- Confident working with multiple stakeholders in a client-side environment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable:
- Experience with asbestos management, fire engineering, or event safety
- IOSH membership
- Knowledge of Building Regulations and CDM Regulations
