Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Mechanical Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management company covering commercial sites across Birmingham and the surrounding areas. The Role

As a Mobile Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a variety of commercial buildings. This is a field-based role with a company van and fuel card provided.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive mechanical maintenance
  • Fault finding and repairs on mechanical plant and equipment
  • Maintenance of HVAC systems, pumps, motors, pipework, valves, and AHUs
  • Monitor and maintain heating and cooling systems
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations
  • Liaise professionally with clients and on-site personnel
  • Complete maintenance reports and paperwork accurately

Requirements

  • Mechanical qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent
  • Previous experience within Facilities Management or commercial maintenance environments
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building services
  • Experience with pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, and pipework systems
  • Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence essential
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
