We are currently recruiting for an experienced Critical Facilities Manager (Contract Manager) to take ownership of a large, high-profile data centre environment in Slough. This is a senior operational role with responsibility for critical plant, systems, and service delivery across a complex, missionâcritical estate.
The successful candidate will lead a sizeable onâsite team, work closely with a global partner, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure resilient, compliant, and highâperforming operations.
The Role
As Critical Facilities Manager (Contract Manager), you will be accountable for the endâtoâend delivery of facilities services across a live data centre environment, ensuring zero downtime, operational excellence, and strong client relationships. This role suits an FM professional with experience in critical environments, strong leadership capability, and a calm, structured approach to managing risk and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Full operational ownership of a 24/7 critical data centre contract
- Management of critical plant and systems (including power, cooling, resilience)
- Lead, develop, and motivate a large onâsite FM & engineering team
- Work closely with a global partner, peers, and client counterparts
- Ensure all statutory compliance, H&S, and critical procedures are adhered to
- Own contract KPIs, reporting, and performance outcomes
- Drive continuous improvement, best practice, and process optimisation
- Manage suppliers, subcontractors, and service partners
- Support business continuity planning and incident response where required
About You
- Proven experience as a Contract Manager / Senior FM in a data centre or critical environment
- Strong knowledge of critical plant and infrastructure
