An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Shift Leader to join the engineering team responsible for the landlord services within one of the city’s most prestigious and technologically advanced skyscrapers.
This is a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of all core building systems across a high-profile, multi-use commercial property based just a short walk from Fenchurch Street.
As the Electrical Shift Leader, you’ll lead a team of multi-skilled engineers to deliver all planned and reactive maintenance for the building’s landlord systems — including electrical distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and building management systems (BMS).
You’ll act as the technical authority on shift, ensuring all critical infrastructure supporting landlord services operates seamlessly while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate the engineering shift team responsible for landlord systems
- Deliver both planned preventive and reactive maintenance to a high standard
- Perform fault-finding, testing, and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, health & safety, and company procedures
- Liaise with the building management team, contractors, and tenants to ensure smooth operation of services
- Maintain detailed shift logs, reports, and effective handovers
- Time-served Electrical Engineer (C&G / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- HV Authorised Person (desirable)
- Strong background in building services within a commercial or critical environment
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage a shift team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
