This is a hotel shift engineer role in Central London, suited to an engineer who enjoys variety and a fast paced environment. You will support guest rooms, public areas, back of house plant, and front of house presentation. You will join a site team where response time, standards, and customer service matter.
What You\’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across hotel plant and guest areas
- Responding to reactive faults in bedrooms, public areas, kitchens, and back of house
- Completing first line electrical tasks, lighting, sockets, switches, and basic fault finding
- Completing first line plumbing tasks, leaks, blockages, sanitaryware repairs, and minor pipework
- Supporting basic mechanical tasks, fan coil checks, filter changes, and plant checks
- Completing statutory routines, emergency lighting checks, fire door checks, and basic test routines
- Coordinating with reception and duty management to prioritise guest impacting issues
- Managing subcontractors on site works when required
- Updating job sheets, logbooks, and hotel maintenance records to a good standard
What We\’re Looking For
- Multiskilled maintenance background
- Experience in hotels, student accommodation, or commercial buildings
- Confident in customer facing environments and guest areas
- Able to fault find and fix first time where possible
- Good admin skills, clear notes and accurate updates
- Willing to work days and nights on a 4 on 4 off pattern
