About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor or a junior Associate Director to join an industry-leading firm in their Affordable Housing Valuation team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled valuation professional to lead and expand a Valuation & Advisory team, within the affordable housing sector. You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality valuation reports, advising clients on investment opportunities, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage affordable housing valuation projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with RICS standards.
- Provide expert valuation advice to housing associations, local authorities, investors, and developers.
- Conduct valuations for loan security, portfolio analysis, development appraisals, and regulatory purposes.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for business growth.
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering professional development.
- Stay up to date with market trends, government policies, and regulatory changes affecting the sector.
- Collaborate with other departments to deliver integrated property services.
Requirements
- MRICS & RICS registered valuer with a strong background in residential or affordable housing valuation.
- Proven experience in valuations for social housing, shared ownership, and/or build-to-rent sectors.
- Strong understanding of valuation methodologies, including DCF and comparable-based approaches.
- Excellent communication and client management skills.
- Commercial awareness with a track record of business development and revenue generation.
- Ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
- Proficiency in valuation software and MS Office.
