About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team based in Preston.

This is a full-time position offering a varied role carrying out planned maintenance and servicing of air conditioning systems across a range of sites.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance services while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs) on air conditioning systems.
  • Undertake maintenance and servicing of refrigeration equipment, including chilled cabinets, multideck units, and ice machines, where required.
  • Diagnose faults using installation designs and manufacturer-specific troubleshooting procedures.
  • Complete all work-related documentation accurately and within required timescales.
  • Maintain detailed inspection reports, service records, and logs of remedial works.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety regulations and Permit to Work procedures.

Essential Requirements

  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Air Conditioning or Heating & Ventilation.
  • Valid F-Gas and ODS certification.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and Permit to Work procedures.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.

Due to the nature of the sites you will be working on, the successful candidate will be required to undergo and successfully pass Security Clearance (SC) checks before commencing work
