Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off – Nights Only

Hours: 7:00pm – 7:00am

We are currently recruiting for a skilled and motivated Nights Engineer to join a well-established engineering team at a prestigious site in Holborn. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically or mechanically biased engineer looking for a stable nights-only role with genuine career progression and earning potential through overtime.

The Role

As a Nights Engineer, you will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of building services systems, ensuring all plant and equipment operates efficiently and safely throughout the night shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Responding to reactive maintenance and breakdowns
  • Fault finding on electrical and/or mechanical systems
  • Maintaining plant rooms, HVAC, lighting, pumps, motors and associated equipment
  • Ensuring all compliance and health & safety procedures are followed
  • Completing maintenance reports and documentation accurately
  • Supporting continuous improvement across the site

Requirements

  • Electrical or Mechanical engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC/HND or equivalent)
  • Previous experience within building services, commercial maintenance or facilities management
  • Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills
  • Good understanding of health & safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently on night shifts
