Mechanical Shift Technician Location: Farringdon, London Salary: £52,000 An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Shift Technician to join a leading FM maintenance provider working on a prestigious corporate site based near Farringdon, London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Engineer who enjoys working in a critical environment and is looking to join a stable, long-term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a high-profile commercial site, ensuring all building services remain operational and compliant. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across mechanical building services. * Maintain and repair a wide range of mechanical systems, including HVAC, pumps, valves, AHUs, and associated plant. * Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and complete remedial works efficiently. * Complete routine inspections, statutory checks, and ensure compliance with health & safety procedures. * Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete job reports. * Work closely with the wider engineering team and specialist contractors. * Ensure all works are completed to a high standard and in line with client requirements. Requirements * Proven experience working as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer within commercial building services. * Strong mechanical maintenance background with experience in a critical environment. * Stable employment history with a track record of long-term positions. * Experience within environments such as corporate offices, pharmaceutical, or similar highly regulated sites would be advantageous. * Ex-Forces engineering backgrounds will also be considered. * Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building services. * Ability to pass required security clearance.
