The Opportunity: We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Shift Leader to join a prestigious critical environment located in Canary Wharf. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking to take the next step into a leadership role within a high-profile commercial site. Working as part of a dedicated engineering team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and management of mechanical building services, ensuring all plant and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of shift engineers on a continental shift rota.
- Ensure all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works are completed to a high standard.
- Monitor and maintain critical mechanical systems including HVAC, pumps, pressurisation units, BMS interfaces, AHUs, FCUs, chilled water and heating systems.
- Act as the site escalation point for mechanical issues and emergency situations.
- Manage subcontractors and specialist service providers.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
