An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day technical and engineering operations of a prestigious commercial site in Canary Wharf. This is a single-site role, offering genuine ownership of the building services function, alongside an excellent opportunity for career progression and professional development.

The Role

You will oversee the technical performance of the site, ensuring all building services are maintained to a high standard and that statutory, compliance and operational requirements are consistently met. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the day-to-day technical operation of the building
  • Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance across M&E services
  • Managing specialist contractors and engineering suppliers
  • Ensuring statutory compliance, PPM and H&S requirements are maintained
  • Monitoring contractor performance and service delivery
  • Supporting energy efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Managing technical documentation, records and reports
  • Building strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders
  • Leading and developing the on-site engineering team
