We are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Contract Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of a flagship commercial building in London.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the building's engineering infrastructure, managing a team of engineers and technicians, and ensuring the highest levels of tenant satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth running of the building's engineering infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire systems.
- Manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest levels of performance and productivity.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with tenants, ensuring their needs and requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure that all engineering works are carried out to the highest standards, in compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Work closely with the Facilities Manager to develop and implement maintenance schedules, ensuring that all equipment is serviced and maintained to the highest standards.
- Manage all aspects of the engineering budget, ensuring that costs are controlled and kept within agreed limits.
- Key Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in a similar Engineering Manager role, ideally within a commercial building environment.
- Strong technical knowledge across a range of engineering disciplines, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire systems.
- Excellent people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers and technicians.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with tenants, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and control costs effectively.
