Electrical Day Shift Engineer
Location: City of London
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off – Days Only
Hours: 7:00am – 6:00pm (11-hour shifts)
Overtime: Available
The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Day Shift Engineer to join a well-established and highly regarded organisation operating within a prestigious commercial environment in the City of London.

You will work as part of a professional engineering team responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of electrical building services across a high-profile site.
The Role
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
- Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults.
- Ensuring electrical systems and equipment are maintained to a high standard.
- Responding to maintenance requests and breakdowns.
- Completing routine inspections and testing.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Supporting the wider engineering and facilities team.
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with relevant procedures and regulations.
- Working proactively to identify potential issues before they become major faults.
About You
- A recognised electrical qualification such as City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 Electrical or equivalent.
- Previous experience working within a commercial building services or facilities maintenance environment.
- Strong fault-finding and electrical maintenance skills.
- A good understanding of health & safety requirements.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider engineering team.
- A professional and proactive approach to maintenance.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
