Purpose of the Job
- To maintain and operate all mechanical and electrical systems across a high‐profile site, ensuring safety, efficiency, and uptime.
- To deliver planned and reactive maintenance across HVAC, heating, plumbing, and life safety systems.
- To monitor and operate the Building Management System (BMS), ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
- To contribute to a team‐oriented environment, supporting colleagues and maintaining high standards across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, heating, plumbing, and life safety equipment.
- Conduct planned and reactive maintenance to ensure all systems operate reliably.
- Monitor, report, and adjust the Building Management System (BMS) as required.
- Manage equipment, tools, and consumable stock, ensuring availability for ongoing maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, safety, and site regulations.
- Complete accurate logs, reports, and handovers for all works performed.
- Support shift operations in a 4 on / 4 off rota, covering early and late shifts:
- 2 x Day shifts: 07:00 - 17:30
- 2 x Late shifts: 16:00 - 02:00
Personal Experience / Qualifications / Skills
- Level 3 City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent in electrical or mechanical building services.
- Relevant safety and technical certifications desirable, including PAF, PASMA, IOSH, L8, CSCS.
- Experience maintaining M&E systems and BMS in complex buildings.
- Detail‐oriented, adaptable, and a strong team player.
- Strong problem‐solving and communication skills.
- Must live within the M25 and be able to travel to the site efficiently.
Working Hours & Benefits
- 4 on / 4 off shift pattern - early and late shifts
- Salary: £53,403 (under review to ~£55,200)
- 22 days annual leave
- Double pension contribution up to 10% after probation
- Uber home after 2am shifts for M25 residents
