This is a permanent opportunity based at a flagship data centre in Canary Wharf, offering genuine progression to senior leadership roles in a growing organisation.\\n\\nRole Overview:\\nYou’ll work on a continental shift pattern covering days and nights, ensuring electrical systems and infrastructure remain safe, compliant, and operational 24/7 in a mission-critical environment. The role will involve switching duties and supporting site resilience strategies.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\n * \\n\\n Continental Shift Pattern: 4 days, 6 off, 4 nights, 4 off, 3 days, 3 nights, 4 off (6:30am–6:30pm)\\n\\n * \\n\\n HV switching duties including writing, reviewing, and carrying out switching schedules\\n\\n * \\n\\n PPM and reactive maintenance across electrical systems (UPS, generators, switchgear, BMS, LV/HV infrastructure)\\n\\n * \\n\\n Working on a range of critical data centre cooling infrastructure: CRAC/CRAH units and cooling towers\\n\\n * \\n\\n Emergency lighting, fire alarm and critical power system testing\\n\\n * \\n\\n Monitoring and managing data centre environmental conditions\\n\\n * \\n\\n Working closely with onsite engineers and subcontractors to ensure SLAs are met\\n\\n * \\n\\n Support audits, risk assessments and incident investigations\\n\\n * \\n\\n Escalate and resolve faults in a fast-paced environment\\n\\nQualifications & Experience Required:\\n\\n * \\n\\n Valid HV Authorised Person certificate (in date)\\n\\n * \\n\\n Experience writing and performing HV/LV switching schedules\\n\\n * \\n\\n Background in critical environments (e.g., data centres, hospitals, trading floors)\\n\\n * \\n\\n Electrical qualification (City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent)\\n\\n * \\n\\n 18th Edition Wiring Regulations\\n\\n * \\n\\n Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and building services systems\\n\\nOn Offer:\\n\\n * \\n\\n £54,000 base salary\\n\\n * \\n\\n Regular career progression reviews – route to HVAP Shift Leader and beyond\\n\\n * \\n\\n 20 days annual shift leave\\n\\n * \\n\\n Company pension, life assurance, and training opportunities\\n\\n * \\n\\n Work on a high-profile, secure, and well-supported site\\n\\nIf you're looking to join a team where you can grow into data centre management, this is the ideal opportunity
