Asset Manager

Role Overview

The Asset Manager is responsible for the integrity, governance, and lifecycle management of asset information across a technical solutions portfolio.

Working closely with operational teams, clients, and mobilisation teams, the role ensures asset data is accurate, compliant, and maintained within IBM Maximo and client CAFM/EAM systems to support safe, efficient, and compliant service delivery.

The role also provides technical asset management expertise during new contract mobilisation, asset verification programmes, and ongoing contract improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Asset Information Management
  • Maintain accurate asset registers and planned maintenance data within IBM Maximo and client CAFM/EAM systems.
  • Validate asset information through verification surveys and ongoing data quality reviews.
  • Produce asset lifecycle plans, condition reports, and performance reports.
  • Ensure asset information complies with client standards and statutory requirements.
  • Technical Asset Management
  • Undertake thermal imaging, energy surveys, asset verification, and Single Point of Failure (SPOF) assessments.
  • Develop lifecycle replacement strategies, critical spares recommendations, and remedial work proposals.
  • Produce and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs), and technical documentation.
  • Mobilisation & Project Delivery
  • Support the mobilisation of new contracts, ensuring asset data and maintenance programmes are established on time.
  • Identify and manage technical risks affecting mobilisation and operational performance.
  • Governance & Continuous Improvement
  • Conduct technical compliance audits.
  • Deliver training on technical processes and CAFM systems.
  • Drive continual improvement in asset data quality and reporting.
  • Support multiple projects across the UK with regular travel.

Requirements

  • Experience within hard facilities management (FM), building services, or technical asset management.
  • Technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (HNC/HND or equivalent preferred).
  • Experience in contract mobilisation or technical project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and asset lifecycle management.
  • Experience using CAFM/EAM systems.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
