About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Fabric Engineer to join our team on a permanent night-shift basis at a commercial site in Bicester. Working as part of the facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive building fabric maintenance tasks, ensuring the site remains safe, functional, and maintained to a high standard. This role is well suited to a qualified carpenter with strong all-round building maintenance experience who is comfortable working independently during night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive building fabric maintenance.
  • Undertake carpentry repairs, installations, and remedial works.
  • Repair and maintain doors, locks, ironmongery, partitions, ceilings, flooring, and other fabric elements.
  • Complete minor painting and decorating, tiling, patch plastering, and general fabric repairs.
  • Identify building defects and implement effective repairs.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of works completed.
  • Support the wider maintenance team as required.

Essential Requirements

  • Recognised Carpentry Qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
