The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Shift Technician to join a prestigious commercial building maintenance team in the City of London. Working as part of a professional engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining critical building services systems, ensuring all electrical equipment operates safely and efficiently within a high‑profile commercial environment.
Shift Pattern
- Continental Shift Pattern
- Days & Nights Rotation
- 7:00am – 7:00pm / 7:00pm – 7:00am
- Repeat rotating pattern
- Overtime available
Key Responsibilities
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and plant equipment.
- Reactive maintenance and fault finding across building services systems.
- Carry out electrical repairs and installations when required.
- Monitor and maintain critical systems to ensure maximum uptime.
- Complete maintenance documentation and reports accurately.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures.
- Support mechanical and building services operations where required.
- Participate in emergency call‑out and incident response procedures.
Requirements
- City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Experience working within commercial buildings, critical environments, data centres, banking, or high‑end corporate facilities.
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of building services systems and electrical infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
