Location: Field-based / On the road The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced HVAC Service Engineer to join a specialist team working across commercial and industrial sites throughout the Central Belt of Scotland.
You will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, servicing and repairs across a wide range of HVAC and air conditioning systems.
You will also have the opportunity to support project-related works and work within technically advanced facilities.

- What You’ll Be Doing
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing and repairs on HVAC and associated mechanical systems.
- Respond to reactive maintenance call-outs, diagnosing faults and resolving issues efficiently.
- Service and maintain commercial air conditioning systems, including VRV/VRF, split and multi-split systems.
- Undertake electrical and mechanical fault finding, diagnostic testing and remedial works.
- Complete routine inspections and identify potential issues before equipment failure occurs.
- Work on HVAC controls and control systems, providing effective technical solutions.
- Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records and job documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation, company procedures and industry best practice.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers through professional communication and high-quality service.
- Support project-related works and participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota when required. What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in commercial HVAC and air conditioning maintenance, servicing and fault finding.
- Valid F-Gas Category 1 certification.
- Strong experience with VRV/VRF, split and multi-split systems.
- Experience with manufacturers such as Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills and a good understanding of HVAC controls.
- Experience using Service Checkers or a similar field service management system.
- Relevant health and safety training and a good understanding of safe working practices.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Central Belt, including occasional overnight stays.
- Strong communication, organisational and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, HVAC or Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous.
- Experience with chillers, heat pumps, refrigeration systems, DX close-control units, AHUs and BMS would be advantageous.
- IPAF/PASMA certification, or the ability to obtain these, would be advantageous. What’s on Offer
