An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Site Supervisor to take ownership of a high-end corporate office building in Canary Wharf. This is a single-person site role, offering autonomy and responsibility for the day-to-day running of building services within a prestigious commercial environment.
The Role
- Acting as the sole on-site engineer responsible for all building services.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works.
- Managing subcontractors, permits to work and site compliance.
- Overseeing building systems including HVAC, electrical and mechanical plant.
- Supporting planned maintenance and project works, including out-of-hours activities.
- Participating in building shutdowns when required.
- Ensuring all works are completed in line with health & safety and compliance standards.
Package
- £55,000 basic salary
- Monday to Friday working pattern (8am–5pm)
- Call-out rota 1 in 1 (£75 standby – approx. £4,000 per year, low call-outs)
- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
Requirements
- Electrical or Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent).
- Experience working within commercial building services environments.
- Ability to work independently and manage a site autonomously.
- Experience managing subcontractors and site compliance processes.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
