Electrical Engineer (Static) β€” Blackburn Β£41,000 - 37 hours a week

A leading FM provider has a need for an experienced Electrical Engineer to come and join a well-established static contract based in Blackburn. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company renowned for their internal progression, training and long term stability.

On offer is a competitive salary working Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 15:00, 37 hours per week.

  • To carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the Helpdesk; including but not limited to fault finding, test, repair and preventative maintenance of electrical building services equipment
  • To participate in the emergency call out rota as required
  • To carry out tasks within typical plant room environments and at high level, working from platforms and ladders. All access equipment and PPE will be provided
  • Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner

Role

As the role involves working on plant and equipment, it is essential to demonstrate a good working knowledge of general and emergency lighting, power distribution, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, including but not limited to:

  • Power distribution
  • Air handling units & fan coil units
  • 3 phase systems
  • Emergency lighting
  • Building management systems
  • Fault finding & diagnostics

Qualifications

  • Full electrical qualifications to a minimum β€” City & Guilds or equivalent
  • City & Guilds / NVQ β€” Electrical Installation or Maintenance
  • 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
  • Building services knowledge
