A large, well-established FM company is seeking an experienced Mechanical Shift Engineer to work on a prestigious commercial site near Liverpool Street. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable organisation offering a competitive salary and long-term career prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant and systems
- Maintain and operate HVAC systems, including AHUs, FCUs, pumps, and boilers
- Fault finding, repairs, and minor installations
- Ensure all works are completed in line with statutory regulations and site procedures
- Accurately complete maintenance records and reports
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other engineers on site
- Support site compliance and health & safety standards at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Mechanical Engineer in a commercial or critical environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly HVAC and building services
- Relevant mechanical qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
- Understanding of PPM schedules and reactive maintenance
- Good communication skills and a professional approach
- Able to work continental shifts days & nights (7am–7pm)
