We're hiring for a skilled Electrical Building Services Shift Engineer to join the engineering team responsible for maintaining a high-end, multi-tenant skyscraper just a short walk from Cannon Street. This is a career-defining opportunity for an engineer with strong electrical knowledge and a background in commercial environments.
The Role
Working a continental shift pattern (days and nights), you'll be part of a 24/7 team that ensures critical building systems remain fully operational at all times. You'll deliver both planned and reactive maintenance while supporting wider site operations and small projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance
- Work on systems including: Lighting, emergency lighting, LV distribution, small power, and control panels
- Respond to electrical faults quickly and efficiently
- Support project and minor installation works
- Accurately log work via the site's CAFM system
- Uphold all health & safety and compliance standards
- Communicate effectively with tenants, contractors, and the facilities management team
What You'll Need
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition is desirable but not essential
- Strong experience in commercial building services (ideally within high-rise, corporate, or critical environments)
- HV Authorisation or HV experience (advantageous - reflected in higher salary bracket)
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Professional, reliable, and team-oriented
