We are currently recruiting for a Refrigeration Engineer to join a leading facilities and refrigeration maintenance provider, working across a prestigious retail contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer seeking a stable role with strong earning potential through standby payments, overtime, and additional performance incentives.
The Role
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on commercial refrigeration equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing faults on refrigeration systems, cold rooms, integral cabinets, and associated plant
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with F-Gas regulations and health & safety standards
- Responding to breakdowns and emergency call-outs when required
- Maintaining accurate service records and reports
- Building strong working relationships with site teams and customers
- Participating in the on-call rota
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent
- Valid F-Gas Category 1 Certification
- Proven experience working on commercial refrigeration systems
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience within retail, supermarket, or commercial environments desirable
- Full UK Driving Licence
Package & Benefits
- Basic Salary: £50,784.36 per annum based on a 45-hour working week
- Standby Allowance: 1 in 4 on-call rota, £195 per standby week, overtime paid where applicable
- Additional On-Call Cover: Engineers who provide additional weekend on-call cover will receive £150 per individual weekend day covered, overtime paid at standard rates for any call-outs attended
