An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day technical and engineering operations of a prestigious commercial site in Canary Wharf. The Role
- Oversee the technical performance of the site, ensuring all building services are maintained to a high standard and that statutory, compliance and operational requirements are consistently met.
- Manage the day-to-day technical operation of the building.
- Oversee planned and reactive maintenance across M&E services.
- Manage specialist contractors and engineering suppliers.
- Ensure statutory compliance, PPM and H&S requirements are maintained.
- Monitor contractor performance and service delivery.
- Support energy efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage technical documentation, records and reports.
- Build strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders.
- Lead and develop the on-site engineering team.
About You
We are looking for a technically strong and proactive individual with a solid background in building services, facilities management or engineering. Ideally, you will have:
- A Level 3 qualification in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Ideally a fully qualified Electrician or Mechanical Engineer.
- Previous experience in a Technical Manager, Engineering Manager or similar senior position.
- Strong knowledge of commercial building services and M&E systems.
- Experience managing contractors and specialist suppliers.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
