We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a professional engineering team at a prestigious corporate office building in Canary Wharf. Working as part of a small on-site team of three engineers, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to work within a modern, high-end commercial environment with strong benefits and genuine overtime opportunities.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across the building, ensuring all systems operate efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Reactive mechanical maintenance and fault finding
- Maintenance of HVAC systems, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and associated plant
- Monitoring and maintaining building services systems
- Supporting compliance and health & safety procedures
- Escorting specialist contractors where required
- Updating maintenance records and site documentation
- Providing a professional and client-facing service at all times
Candidate Requirements
- Mechanically qualified (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
- Previous experience within commercial building maintenance
- Strong knowledge of mechanical plant and HVAC systems
- Experience working within corporate or commercial office environments preferred
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively within a small engineering team
