Purpose of the Job
To maintain and operate all mechanical and electrical systems across a high‑profile site, ensuring safety, efficiency, and uptime. To deliver planned and reactive maintenance across HVAC, heating, plumbing, and life safety systems. To monitor and operate the Building Management System (BMS), ensuring optimal performance and compliance. To contribute to a team‑oriented environment, supporting colleagues and maintaining high standards across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, heating, plumbing, and life safety equipment.
- Conduct planned and reactive maintenance to ensure all systems operate reliably.
- Monitor, report, and adjust the Building Management System (BMS) as required.
- Manage equipment, tools, and consumable stock, ensuring availability for ongoing maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, safety, and site regulations.
- Complete accurate logs, reports, and handovers for all works performed.
- Support shift operations in a 4 on / 4 off rota, covering early and late shifts:
- 2 x Day shifts: 07:00 - 17:30
- 2 x Late shifts: 16:00 - 02:00
Personal Experience / Qualifications / Skills
- Level 3 City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent in electrical or mechanical building services.
- Relevant safety and technical certifications desirable, including PAF, PASMA, IOSH, L8, CSCS.
- Experience maintaining M&E systems and BMS in complex buildings.
- Detail‑oriented, adaptable, and a strong team player.
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Must live within the M25 and be able to travel to the site efficiently.
Working Hours & Benefits
- 4 on / 4 off shift pattern - early and late shifts
- Salary: £53,403 (under review to ~£55,200)
- 22 days annual leave
- Double pension contribution up to 10% after probation
