A fantastic opportunity to work for a leading FM / Engineering Maintenance service provider who are recruiting for a Building Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias) based near Putney, Southwest London. This is a permanent position paying a salary of £44,000 per annum. Excellent opportunities for career progression, ongoing training and overtime are also available.
Job Role: You will be required to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, days only, within a flagship leisure and hospitality facility based in Southwest London. The successful candidate will be working within a large, high-end multi-use site carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of mechanical and building services systems. Engineers are expected to be technically strong with excellent fault-finding abilities and a proactive attitude towards maintenance within a busy but rewarding environment. The role of a Multi-Skilled Engineer (Mechanical Bias) is to carry out the planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical plant and associated building services equipment. The engineer will also support general building maintenance duties and ensure all systems are operating safely and efficiently.
Relevant work experience includes but is not limited to:
- HVAC systems
- AHUs & FCUs
- Pumps & motors
- Mechanical plant room equipment
- Pool plant & water treatment systems
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Reactive maintenance and fault finding
- General building services maintenance
Skills Required: The successful candidate must have:
- UK recognised mechanical qualification - (NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds or equivalent preferred)
- Proven experience within commercial building services / FM maintenance
- Strong mechanical bias with multi-skilled knowledge
- Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance
- Good understanding of HVAC and mechanical systems
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
