We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Multi-Skilled Engineer with an Electrical Bias to join our engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a stable Monday–Friday shift pattern within a fast-paced manufacturing/production environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across site equipment, ensuring downtime is minimised and production efficiency is maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance on production machinery
- Fault finding and diagnosis on electrical control systems
- Respond quickly to breakdowns and minimise downtime
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
Requirements
- Recognised electrical engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills
- Basic mechanical maintenance experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- PLC fault-finding experience advantageous
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures
