We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Mechanical Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management company covering commercial sites across Birmingham and the surrounding areas. The Role
As a Mobile Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a variety of commercial buildings. This is a field-based role with a company van and fuel card provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive mechanical maintenance
- Fault finding and repairs on mechanical plant and equipment
- Maintenance of HVAC systems, pumps, motors, pipework, valves, and AHUs
- Monitor and maintain heating and cooling systems
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
- Liaise professionally with clients and on-site personnel
- Complete maintenance reports and paperwork accurately
Requirements
- Mechanical qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent
- Previous experience within Facilities Management or commercial maintenance environments
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building services
- Experience with pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, and pipework systems
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence essential
- Strong communication and customer service skills
