Acorn Engineering is seeking a dynamic and strategic Account Director to lead client relationships and drive the performance of our contract portfolio. This senior leadership role is pivotal in ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational excellence, and sustained account growth.
The Account Director is responsible for leading client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and driving the performance and growth of assigned accounts. This role provides strategic leadership across a portfolio of contracts, overseeing operational delivery, financial performance, and customer satisfaction. Working closely with senior management and other business units, the Account Director ensures that Acorn Engineering’s standards of quality, compliance, and professionalism are consistently met.
As a key ambassador of Acorn’s purpose — Building Trust — the Account Director will demonstrate integrity, empathy, and a people-first mindset, ensuring that our culture continues to thrive as we grow.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute account strategies aligned with business goals
- Lead Contract Managers and operational teams to deliver service excellence
- Ensure high-quality M&E maintenance services and project delivery
- Build trusted client relationships and manage strategic engagement
- Take ownership of financial performance, including revenue and margin
- Identify growth opportunities and support business development initiatives
- Recruit, coach, and develop high-performing teams
- Promote a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement

Knowledge, Skills & Experience- Proven success in a senior leadership role within M&E maintenance or facilities management
- Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems
- Experience in financial management and P&L accountability
- Excellent stakeholder and client relationship management
- Proficient in CAFM systems (Concept Evolution preferred) and Microsoft Office
- Strategic thinker with a calm, professional approach
