Purpose of the Job
- To provide 24/7 operational and maintenance support at a brand-new, state-of-the-art data centre in Slough.
- To ensure electrical and mechanical systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with critical site requirements.
- To deliver both reactive and planned maintenance while maintaining uptime and compliance in a critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate as part of a shift team, maintaining and supporting data centre infrastructure around the clock.
- Perform fault finding, reactive maintenance, and PPM on electrical and mechanical systems.
- Work safely on LV and HV systems (where authorised), supporting critical power operations.
- Accurately complete maintenance logs, shift handovers, and compliance documentation.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain competency and certification.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of site safety and compliance.
Personal Experience / Qualifications / Skills
- Previous experience in critical environments such as data centres, banking, or pharma sites.
- HV and LV electrical experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical plant, generators, and associated systems.
- Ability to work effectively on shift patterns in a team-oriented environment.
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Professional, reliable, and safety-conscious approach.
Working Hours & Benefits
- Shift pattern: 24/7 shift working (details discussed at interview)
- Salary: £54,590 per annum + £3,000 shift allowance = £57,590 total
- Parking available on site
