The Role

We are currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistant to join our friendly team, supporting a wonderful gentleman living in Totton with his partner and their three cats. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s daily life while working in a warm and welcoming home environment. This position is for 2 shifts per week, with some weekend availability required (around 1 in every 3 weekends).

Weekday shifts: 07:00 – 22:00
Weekend shifts: 08:00 – 20:00

As a Complex Care Assistant, you will be supporting a client with a tracheostomy and PEG, assisting with all aspects of daily living. You will play a key role in ensuring comfort, dignity, and independence, while also building a trusting and positive relationship.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Complex Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personal care with sensitivity and respect
  • Administering medication via PEG
  • Supporting moving and positioning using a stand aid
  • Delivering tracheostomy care and suctioning
  • Offering companionship and emotional support
  • Assisting with domestic duties
  • Supporting bladder and bowel care

Training & Support
