Invictus Complex Care is a fully nurse-led specialist complex care provider, delivering exceptional, personalised care to people living with complex healthcare needs in their own homes and communities.
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Complex Care Nurse Manager to join our growing clinical team.
This is a predominantly home-based, regional role, managing a small caseload of complex care clients and the dedicated teams supporting them.
At Invictus, we believe that when we properly look after our nurses and care teams, they have the confidence, support and resources to provide exceptional care to our clients.
That's what makes us different.
About Invictus
We pride ourselves on an honest, caring and genuinely person-centred approach.
Our clients choose the people they want around them, and we build bespoke care teams around their individual needs, preferences and lifestyles.
As a nurse-led organisation, clinical quality and safety are at the heart of everything we do. Our clinical team works collaboratively, supports one another and leads by example.
We are looking for someone who shares our passion for truly exceptional care and wants to be part of a company where nursing leadership genuinely matters.
About the Role
As a Complex Care Nurse Manager, you will take responsibility for a small caseload of complex care clients and their teams, providing clinical oversight and support from initial enquiry through to ongoing care delivery.
You will build strong relationships with clients and their families, understand what matters to them and ensure that the care we provide continues to meet their individual needs.
You will also lead and support the teams caring for them, ensuring staff feel valued, engaged, confident and motivated to deliver outstanding care.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a nurse who enjoys clinical care, people management, problem solving and building relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a small caseload of complex care clients and their care teams
- Supporting new care packages from initial enquiry through to mobilisation and ongoing delivery
- Providing clinical leadership and oversight to care teams
- Building strong relationships with clients, families, commissioners and case managers
- Regularly reviewing care packages to ensure they remain safe, effective and person-centred
- Supporting, mentoring and developing care and nursing staff
- Ensuring staff feel valued, supported and engaged
- Identifying and addressing training, competency or performance concerns
- Ensuring care plans, risk assessments and clinical documentation remain accurate and compliant with CQC requirements
- Monitoring the quality of care delivery and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Working closely with our Clinical Lead and wider management team
- Supporting the growth of the business while maintaining the quality and standards our clients expect
- Providing on-call support as part of a four-week rotational on-call system
- Ensuring care provision consistently exceeds the expectations of our clients, families, commissioners and the CQC
This is a role with autonomy
We are looking for someone who is confident working independently and managing their own diary.
You will predominantly work from home, travelling to clients and care teams when required. You'll have the autonomy to organise your workload and prioritise your time, while always having the support of an experienced clinical leadership team around you.
Every client is different, and no two days will look exactly the same.
You might be reviewing a care plan in the morning, meeting a family over lunch, supporting a care team in the afternoon and providing clinical guidance to a new member of staff later that day.
That's part of what makes this role so rewarding.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a Registered Nurse who combines clinical confidence with genuine compassion and strong leadership skills.
You will have:
- A valid NMC PIN
- Experience in complex care and/or community nursing
- Strong clinical knowledge and sound professional judgement
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to manage a caseload and prioritise competing demands
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A calm, caring and professional approach
- The confidence to lead, support and challenge when necessary
- A genuine passion for improving someone's quality of life
- Reliability, commitment and a strong sense of responsibility
- The ability to work independently while being an active member of a wider clinical team
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car
- The ability to travel across a wide geographical area
- The right to live and work in the UK
Most importantly, we want someone who cares about the people behind the care plans.
Someone who understands that excellent complex care isn't simply about completing clinical tasks. It's about knowing the individual, understanding their life and helping their care team provide the best possible support.
What We Offer
From Β£48,000 per annum
Alongside a competitive salary, you'll receive:
- 33 days annual leave, including bank holidays
- Pension scheme
- Predominantly home-based working
- Full clinical support and mentorship
- A genuinely nurse-led organisation
- A clinically focused business where safety and quality come first
- Support for your professional development
- Opportunities to enhance your skills and career
- A supportive and approachable management team
- A small, manageable caseload
- A culture where your contribution is valued
Most importantly, you'll be part of Team Invictus.
We believe every member of our team matters.
We want our nurses to have a healthy work/life balance, feel supported in their decisions and have the opportunity to develop professionally.
We don't want you to simply manage care packages.
We want you to lead them.
If you're an experienced Registered Nurse looking for a role where your clinical expertise, leadership and compassion can genuinely influence the lives of clients and their families, we'd love to hear from you.
Join Invictus Complex Care and help us raise the standard of complex care, one client and one team at a time.
