We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Team Leader, supporting a complex care package for a young boy living at home with his parents, sister and family dog in Bromley.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse who enjoys combining hands-on clinical care with leadership, staff development and care coordination.
You will become an important clinical link between the care team, the family and our Nurse Manager, helping to ensure that the young person receives consistent, safe and responsive care.
About the Young Person
The young boy has significant physical, neurological, sensory and communication needs and requires 24-hour specialist support.
His diagnoses and care needs include:

He enjoys cuddles, books, music, nursery rhymes, favourite TV programmes and sensory activities, including lights, sounds, bubbles, textures and interactive toys.
The Role
As Team Leader, you will provide clinical leadership and support to the care team, helping to ensure that care is delivered safely, consistently and in accordance with the young person's individual needs.
Your role will include a combination of direct clinical involvement, team leadership and care oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the care team
- Work collaboratively with the Nurse Manager to ensure high standards of care
- Support the team with clinical queries and day-to-day decision making
- Ensure care plans remain accurate, current and reflective of the young person's needs
- Monitor the delivery of care and identify any changes or emerging needs
- Liaise closely with the family and wider multidisciplinary team where appropriate
- Support staff to follow care plans, policies and clinical guidance
- Identify training and competency requirements within the team
- Work alongside the Nurse Manager to ensure staff are appropriately trained and competent

- Support continuity of care by helping to maintain a stable and well-supported team
- Complete appropriate clinical documentation and records
- Promote safeguarding, dignity, choice and person-centred care
- Contribute to reviews and ongoing development of the care package
- Escalate clinical concerns appropriately and work with the Nurse Manager to ensure they are addressed
Contract & Hours
22 contracted hours per week, structured as:
1 x 12-hour day shift per week
10 additional floating hours
The floating hours provide flexibility and may be used to support the care package where required, including covering sickness or staff absence, clinical oversight, care planning, staff support, training and other Team Leader responsibilities.
This structure offers an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse looking for a part-time clinical leadership position with flexibility, while remaining closely involved with the care package.
Working Alongside the Nurse Manager
You will work closely with our Nurse Manager, forming part of the clinical leadership structure for the package.
Together, you will ensure:

- Staff feel confident and supported in their roles
- The care plan remains current and responsive
- Clinical needs are identified and addressed promptly
- The care team communicates effectively
- The young person's care remains safe, consistent and person-centred
We are looking for someone who is comfortable taking ownership, but who also understands the importance of collaborative leadership and knowing when to seek further clinical support.

- Currently registered with the NMC
- Experienced in complex care or a related clinical setting
- Confident providing clinical leadership and guidance
- Organised and able to manage competing priorities
- A strong communicator
