Job Purpose

Trainee position covering European living investments and Business Development assisting Senior Director – particular focus on IRE student housing (PBSA) investments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: involvement in research for new conviction areas / alternative “living” asset classes and support preparation of materials for presenting market opportunity and IRE strategy to internal committees and external clients.
  • Asset Management: assisting team and supporting processes for best practice in conjunction with local teams in respect of PBSA assets. Prepare templates and seek to understand and drive performance via targeted data collection and considered reporting requirements. Prepare data presentations and analysis.
  • Investments: Analysis of potential investment opportunities. This includes sourcing comparable evidence and undertaking appropriate research. Set up, modify and run cash flow models and carry out sensitivity analysis.
  • Market Intelligence: willingness to learn and remain aware / track capital market activity within the European Living Sectors. Create and maintain contacts in the investment market.
  • Transactions: assist with transactional processes for selected investments. Support Senior Director with review of legal agreements and input /support local investment team execution activity. Supporting processes, attending meetings and inspections.
  • Compliance: Ensure all activities are in line with Invesco’s Conduct principles.

Qualifications

Entry‑level trainee position. No prior experience necessary; detail interest in real estate and financial investment market.

Computer literate: Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, Powerpoint and relevant real estate software.

Analytical and numerate: High degree of accuracy. Hardworking, proactive, confident, self‑motivated, articulate.

Teamwork: Ability to prioritise, work as part of a small team primarily assisting Senior Director.

Additional Information

Salary: £26,500 per annum. Full Time. Fixed Term Employee.
