You will join as part of the Investment20/20 programme. This is an outstanding chance for a school leaver to gain an introduction to the Asset Management Industry by joining our Compliance team.
In this role you will gain first hand insight into the industry while making a real contribution to the success of the business. The position sits within the Aegon AM UK Compliance function and will report to the Aegon AM Head of Risk and Compliance UK. This position will support delivery of the Aegon AM UK Annual Compliance Program. You will shadow a Lead Compliance Officer to understand the role of Compliance and support with additional adâhoc tasks as they arise.
Key Responsibilities for the role include:
- Compliance Programme: Overseeing and administering the Code of Ethics System, including quarterly certifications. Managing employee queries on internal policies. Monitoring alerts in the Investment Management System (Aladdin) dashboard.
- Senior Manager and Certification Regime (SMCR): Maintaining the FCA register on behalf of Aegon AM UK. Administering the internal SMCR system.
- Regulatory Reporting: Filing regulatory reports â Conduct report, Complaints reporting, FCA firm details, US regulatory filings. Ensuring the rest of the business completes their regulatory filings, administer internal logs, and engage with business owners.
- Policy management: Checking that external policies remain up-to-date.
- Projects: Providing effective support to the UK Compliance team in the implementation of new processes, by contributing to the planning and coordination of key activities, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks and maintaining clear, consistent communication with all relevant stakeholders throughout the process.
