You will join as part of the Investment20/20 programme. Location: City of London, London. Schroders’ two-year apprenticeship programmes give school and college leavers a hands‑on introduction to investment management and the opportunity to develop key skills, gain professional qualifications and build an industry network. We have a wide range of opportunities across our business.
The Team: We are looking for an Apprentice to join our Wealth Management division known as Cazenove Capital, which is part of the Schroders group. Someone who is passionate about delivering excellent client service and investment management for our clients. We want someone who can work alongside our Portfolio Managers, with the desire and curiosity to learn their job as well as your own. You will do it by getting to grips with the analysis, checks and balances that keep our clients' portfolios in great shape. You will be busy, hands‑on and can‑do. You will learn your way around the foundations of investment, tune into clients' needs, and keep Portfolio Managers informed and up‑to‑date.
What you’ll do:
- Support Portfolio Managers and Directors in managing client portfolios in compliance with regulations while fostering trust.
- Serve as a client contact, responding to inquiries promptly and maintaining records.
- Assist with planning and attending client meetings, and prepare related materials and reports.
- Manage account openings for new clients and additional portfolios for existing clients.
- Join fund manager meetings and internal discussions to share insights.
- Help Portfolio Managers with investment recommendations and implement approved changes.
- Assess portfolio suitability and performance, preparing investment proposals.
- Execute trades and handle administrative tasks, including transaction statement reviews.
- Keep colleagues informed about client portfolios and any pertinent changes.
- Balance daily tasks with longer‑term projects while managing inquiries.
- Participate in our industry leading in‑house presentation programme.

Who we’re looking for:
- Living in England and have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least three years prior to the apprenticeship start date.
- Will be aged 18 or over by 7 September 2026.
- Are a recent school or college leaver (A-levels, BTECs or equivalent), or are unsure whether university is the right path for you.
- Are not enrolled in another government‑funded apprenticeship or further education programme when you start with us.
- Are ambitious and enthusiastic, eager to learn about the industry.
- Flexible with a keen eye for detail and good IT skills.
- Natural flair for developing relationships and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Qualifications required:
- A-levels (or equivalent) in any subjects – no minimum UCAS points required.
- Level 2 in both English and Maths (GCSE grade 9‑4 or equivalent) for those undertaking a level 3 or higher apprenticeship.
Skills that will help:
- Flexible approach and willingness to engage in various tasks and projects.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Numerate with a problem‑solving mindset.
- Experience in providing excellent customer service is beneficial.
