We are working with a leading, long‑term public‑equities investment business seeking an experienced Senior Equity Analyst (c.15 years’ experience) to join a high‑conviction research team based in London. The firm manages concentrated, fundamentally driven equity portfolios for institutional and wealth clients. The successful candidate will play a key role in idea generation, portfolio construction support, and the development of junior investment talent.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead deep fundamental research on a defined coverage universe, producing clear, decision‑ready investment cases.
  • Drive idea generation and contribute meaningfully to portfolio construction and risk discussion.
  • Take a leadership role within the research team, including mentoring and developing junior analysts.
  • Engage actively with portfolio managers to challenge and refine investment theses.
  • Monitor existing holdings, update valuation work, and recommend position sizing and exits as conditions evolve.
  • Contribute to internal investment debates and periodic strategy reviews.

Candidate profile

  • Genuine passion for company analysis, with robust skills in financial modelling, valuation, and competitive‑dynamics assessment.
  • Clear, concise communicator, able to articulate complex ideas to portfolio managers and non‑specialist stakeholders.
  • Comfortable taking ownership, challenging consensus, and operating in a collaborative, intellectually rigorous culture.
  • Experience mentoring junior investors or contributing to team development is strongly preferred.
