A leading private markets investment firm is looking to hire an Associate into its London office in Mayfair. This is a high-impact opportunity reporting directly to the Managing Director in London. As the second person in the office, the successful candidate will play a key role locally while also working closely with the US investment team. The role will focus primarily on primaries and co-investments, with some exposure to secondaries.
Key responsibilities
- Support the sourcing, screening, evaluation, and monitoring of private equity investments
- Conduct due diligence across primary, co-investment, and selected secondary opportunities
- Build and maintain financial underwriting models
- Attend meetings with GPs, intermediaries, and placement agents
- Prepare investment materials and contribute to investment committee discussions
- Monitor existing fund investments and broader market developments
Ideal background
- 2 - 3 years of relevant private equity fund investing experience
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
- Postgraduate degree or CFA preferred, but not required
- Experience across primaries, co-investments, and/or secondaries preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a lean team environment
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with international colleagues
