Ready to make your first move from practice into industry? This is a brilliant opportunity for a newly qualified accountant to step into a fast‑paced, private equity‑backed business that’s scaling growth and investing heavily in its people. If you’ve trained in practice and are looking for that first industry role, you’ll be supported every step of the way by a high‑performing, collaborative finance team who genuinely care about your development.

Why this role? You’ll join a nurturing environment designed to help you transition confidently from practice into industry, gaining hands‑on exposure while being guided by experienced professionals. With the business growing rapidly, there’s real scope for progression and the chance to shape your career from day one.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Taking ownership of month‑end close, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
  • Ensuring financial data is accurate, complete, and delivered on time
  • Performing and reviewing detailed balance sheet reconciliations
  • Managing payroll and supporting VAT processes alongside the tax team
  • Preparing audit documentation and supporting year‑end processes
  • Strengthening controls, improving processes, and enhancing reporting
  • Collaborating across teams to solve problems and drive best practice

What we’re looking for:

  • Newly qualified ACA straight from practice or 1‑2 years PQE
  • Practice‑trained, ideally with an audit background
  • Strong grasp of UK GAAP / IFRS and internal controls
  • Confident communicator with a proactive, self‑starting mindset
  • Strong Excel skills; ERP experience is a bonus

The opportunity: This is more than just a role—it’s a launchpad. You’ll be empowered to take ownership, challenge the status quo, and grow your skillset in a business where progression is real and performance is recognised. If you’re ambitious, curious, and ready to make an impact, this could be the perfect next step in your career.
