Acting as a strategic partner to business leads, analysing and translating financial data and information into actionable recommendations, contributing to commercial, operation and financial objectives and decisions.
Lead financial sections of renegotiations of Revenue Share Agreements and related contracts.
Deliver new alliance partnerships.
Work proactively with FP&A & Finance Transformation to drive out non-value add activity.
TU engagement: engaging and working with TU (including pay deals).
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Deliver insightful financial input at the Directorate/Function level.
- Review the consolidation of the business inputs into the latest forecast/budget to ensure alignment with wider financial & business KPIs/strategy.
- Support scenario planning and strategic budgeting processes.
- Support the business to deliver ‘task-free’ forecast/budgets.
- Proactively identify & mitigate risks & deliver opportunities against financial plans.
- Identify & evaluate cost-saving opportunities.
- Partner with business teams to implement cost control initiatives (including People team on employee related initiatives).
- Support FP&A in translating reports on cost performance against targets into clear narrative for the business & addressable actions where needed.
- Engage the business areas on financial KPI performance (provided by central FP&A) and work them to remedy under-performing areas.
- Ensure compliance to Internal controls framework.
CapEx Planning:
- Develop and review business cases for capital expenditure at the Directorate/Function level.
- Ensure alignment of CapEx proposals with strategic priorities and ROI expectations.
- Monitor CapEx performance and post-investment reviews.
- Support the optimisation of procurement/vendor management strategies within the business to build better supplier relationships & deliver efficiencies.
- Act as pivotal role in the Procurement/Finance/Business Trio to support the identification of new supplier initiatives & associated tracking.
- Support contract negotiations and supplier performance evaluations.
