Interim Technology Finance Business Partner - £450-500/day inside IR35 - ASAP start 6-9 month interim contract | Hybrid | London (3 days onsite)

The Business

A large, international corporate operating across multiple specialist B2B markets with a complex, multi-entity and matrixed structure. The role sits within a central Group function and supports a major technology cost transformation programme running through to December 2026. The environment is corporate, process-driven and internationally structured, with strong emphasis on governance, cost control and programme delivery.

This is a programme-focused Finance Business Partner position supporting a Technology cost transformation initiative. The role will partner closely with Technology leadership, programme stakeholders and senior finance teams to provide financial oversight, challenge and governance across a multi-year transformation programme. The successful candidate will track business cases, benefits realisation, cost savings, structural changes and financial impacts across the programme lifecycle. Strong stakeholder influence and the ability to navigate change within a complex matrix organisation are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with programme leadership to provide financial oversight of a large-scale technology cost transformation initiative
  • Track business cases, benefits realisation and cost savings against approved plans
  • Monitor programme financials, hierarchy changes and cost re-allocations
  • Provide clear reporting on programme performance, risks and delivery milestones
  • Support governance and financial control across transformation workstreams
  • Challenge assumptions and ensure financial rigour across transformation initiatives

Forecasting, Planning & Reporting

  • Lead forecast and budget submissions related to the transformation programme
  • Deliver programme-level financial reporting and stakeholder packs
  • Produce insightful variance analysis and commentary
  • Support multi-year financial planning aligned to programme objectives
  • Coordinate inputs across finance, technology and shared services teams

Systems & Governance

  • Work across enterprise ERP and planning systems such as Oracle, SAP, TM1 or equivalent
  • Ensure financial data integrity across programme reporting
  • Support development of reporting structures and hierarchy updates
  • Maintain strong governance and audit readiness

Stakeholder Management

  • Operate as a trusted business partner to senior Technology stakeholders
  • Influence and challenge within a blue-chip, matrixed environment
  • Navigate change and shifting priorities within a large-scale programme
  • Potentially manage or mentor junior finance resource

Candidate Profile

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong transformation background is essential
  • Demonstrable experience in cost transformation and programme finance
  • Experience within blue-chip or complex matrix organisations required
  • Background in Group FP&A, senior finance analyst or business partnering roles at Group level
  • Technology sector exposure preferred but not essential
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability
  • Good understanding of programme governance and delivery frameworks
  • ERP familiarity required, system agnostic
