We are seeking a Technical Lead to design and deliver our enterprise data classification and protection programme. The role will lead the implementation of Microsoft Purview-based data discovery, labelling and protection controls, while also developing the supporting policies, standards and operating model required to embed data ownership and accountability across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme Leadership
- Lead end-to-end delivery of the Data Classification & Protection programme
- Define roadmap, milestones, deliverables and success measures
- Manage pilot rollout (e.g. HR, Investor Relations, Finance) and phased enterprise deployment
- Report progress, risks and decisions to executive stakeholders
- Technical Design & Implementation
- Design and implement Microsoft Purview configuration (data discovery, sensitivity labels, DLP, encryption)
- Ensure integration with M365, SharePoint, Exchange and structured data sources
- Establish monitoring, alerting and reporting mechanisms
- Policy & Framework Development
- Develop and formalise: Data Classification Policy
- Data Handling & Protection Standard
- Data Retention & Lifecycle Policy
- Data Ownership & Stewardship Model
