Overview
As Global Snowflake Platform Lead, you will own and evolve a strategic Snowflake environment used across multiple countries. You will blend hands-on Snowflake delivery with platform leadership, vendor management, and stakeholder engagement to scale the data platform. You’ll define standards for development, security, governance, and operations while enabling global adoption across UK, US and Europe. This role offers influence over global platform strategy and data/AI enablement across international business units, within a hybrid, cross-functional data team. You will work with cloud data technologies to shape scalable, well-governed data engineering practices.

Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the global Snowflake platform and support international rollout
- Balance hands-on Snowflake engineering with platform strategy and stakeholder engagement
- Define standards across development, deployment, security, governance and operations
- Collaborate with global data teams to enable adoption and consistent platform capabilities
- Manage and technically oversee third-party vendors and delivery partners
Key requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Snowflake in a data engineering or platform environment
- Good understanding of AWS and cloud-based data platforms, plus experience with dbt
- Experience with DevOps, GitHub and CI/CD development/deployment practices
- Experience working across global teams and federated technology environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with hands-on and strategic capability
