Group Financial Reporting Manager required to join a highly acquisitive PE backed Group based in Central Hertfordshire. This is an opportunity to join a growing team offering excellent long term progression, along with scope to be involved in supporting M&A activities and transformation projects and to make a real impact. This is a high profile role giving significant exposure to senior management across the Group.

Accountabilities and duties:

  • Managing the consolidation process for the group along with the group control team to ensure key information is provided to our internal and external stakeholders in accordance with agreed timetables.
  • Helping in preparing timetables and instructions to the Group to ensure reporting deadlines are met.
  • Involved in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of new accounting systems.
  • Reviewing Business Unit performance each accounting period, including continually building and improving the process by which Business Units present and explain periodic results.
  • Delivering adhoc projects to support continuous improvement of the Group’s external reporting, including liaising with the Group M&A team on significant non-routine transactions.
  • Along with the Group Control team, you will be leading the audit process for the group.
  • Work with the Head of group external reporting to develop and implement effective financial policies and procedures and on group technical accounting matters.
  • Support on the Group corporate simplification project.
  • Takes the lead to deliver the Statutory accounts and reporting for the companies in a timely manner.

Key Skills and qualifications:

  • Qualified Accountant with relevant post qualification experience.
  • Committed team player with a proven ability to hit deadlines, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical accounting experience.
  • Strong focus on controls, processes, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and to use these relationships to get results.
  • Ability to challenge senior stakeholders and operate with impact and influence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience of using Oracle would be advantageous but not essential.
